Duncan, once a renowned master chef, is transported to another world and reduced to a lowly kitchen hand at the Marquis of Farhaven's estate. When a grand banquet is nearly ruined, he saves it with leftover ingredients and catches the Marchioness's eye. After earning a chance to cook, he faces sabotage from powerful food merchants. Undeterred, Duncan turns humble lotus root, cabbage, and crab into exquisite dishes, wins the Golden Key, earns his freedom, and opens a restaurant of his own.
